I provide counselling for adolescents and younger adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties. I am passionate about supporting people in their transition from childhood into a positive and confident adulthood.

I have been working with young people and families for over 10 years. My approach is underpinned by a strong clinical background. I have worked as a lead clinician at CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health service) and a counsellor at headspace (national youth mental health service).

My approach is influenced by attachment and trauma theories, and therefore relationship is seen as key in the therapeutic process. Taking a client centred approach, I draw on training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based therapies, Narrative Therapy, Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also currently training as an art therapist.

I offer short and long-term counselling to support people with issues including:

·         Anxiety
·         Depression
·         Loss
·         Trauma
·         Suicidal ideation
·         Self-harm
·         Sexuality
·         Low self-esteem
·         Relationship difficulties
·         Difficulties regulating emotions

I provide a non-judgmental environment, where people's stories are treated with care and respect.

As an AASW Approved Mental Health Social Worker I am eligible for the medicare rebate with a Mental Health Care Plan. I am also trained to provide Non-Directive Pregnancy Counselling.
